OINP stands for the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program. The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program, sometimes known as OINP, is the economic immigration program for the province of Ontario. Through Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), it maintains a collaborative working relationship with the Canadian federal government.

A nomination can be requested from the OINP by foreign students, international workers, and other individuals who possess the necessary abilities, experience, and education.

The OINP recognizes and nominates for permanent residency individuals who have the skills and experience that are necessary for the economy of Ontario; nevertheless, the final decision regarding whether or not to approve applications for permanent residence is made by the Government of Canada.

At this time, applications are being accepted for the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) in the following streams:

• Stream for French-Speaking Skilled Workers
• Human Capital Priorities stream
• Skilled Trades stream
• Entrepreneur stream

Through the OINP Expression of Interest mechanism, the following OINP streams are currently available for participation:

• Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream
• Job Opportunity from Employer: Stream for International Students
• Job Opportunity from Employer: Focus on In-Demand Skills stream

The following OINP streams are still unavailable, however they will be made available again in the future using the OINP Expression of Interest system:

• Masters Graduate stream & PhD Graduate stream
